About the job - Transport and care of deceased

When a person dies, the body must be transported in a dignified and safe manner. This may involve collection from the place of death to the nearest mortuary or transport to Forensic Medicine for examination.

As a transporter with us, you become part of the entire chain around the care of the deceased. The work is always done in teams of two, where you alternate between driver and assistant. You collaborate closely with authorities, municipal residences, external residences.

Working hours vary and the workload can shift between high-intensity periods and calmer periods.

You work in an on-call group where you start from your home according to a schedule.

Tasks

• Transport and care of deceased
• Collaboration with authorities, healthcare staff and relatives

Qualifications

• Upper secondary education or equivalent
• B driver's license (requirement) and confident in driving larger vehicles
• Basic computer skills
• No criminal record and no entries in the criminal record register (check is carried out in accordance with the requirements of the Police Authority)
• Good physical fitness and mental stability, as the work can be both physically demanding and psychologically taxing

Desirable

• Experience of transports of deceased
• Experience from care, social care, transport or other service-oriented operations such as ambulance services, rescue services.
