ASSISTANT NURSE FOR EVENING HOME CARE – DEMENTIA AND MENTAL HEALTH PROBLEMS
We are looking for someone who is a qualified assistant nurse, has experience from home care and/or elderly housing, and has a strong interest in working with people who have dementia and mental health problems.
Stockholm's Dementia and Special Team is a home care service that works with people with dementia, mental health problems, disabilities, and substance abuse issues. The work is adapted to each client's needs, and we work extensively with interaction, motivation, and various creative approaches to make the help work in the client's everyday life.
OUR OPERATIONS AND THE EVENING TEAM
The organization has different teams and specializations in areas including dementia and mental health problems.
In the evenings, you work in the organization's evening team and visit a mix of clients with dementia and mental health problems.
You work independently out at clients' homes but are part of an evening team where cooperation and team spirit are important. You need to stay in contact, check in with each other, support one another, and help each other when the schedule changes during the shift.

You should have a professional approach, be able to create a sense of security, and motivate clients to accept the help they have been granted.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POSITION
You must be a qualified assistant nurse and be able to present:
- approved Swedish grades of at least 1,500 credits from assistant nurse training
- protected professional title as assistant nurse
- previous work experience from home care and/or elderly housing
You need to be able to speak and write Swedish very well because you will communicate with clients and colleagues, read instructions, and document in clients' records.
Experience working with people who have dementia and/or mental health problems is an advantage.
ABOUT THE POSITION
Employment rate: 84.12%
Working hours: 3:00 PM–10:00 PM
Schedule: Rolling four-week schedule with approximately 19 shifts over four weeks. Shifts are scheduled on both weekdays and weekends, with work every other weekend.
The employment rate is adapted to evening work to provide a reasonable number of shifts per month.
Start: As soon as possible
Salary: According to collective agreement, Almega Vårdföretagarna
Probationary employment: 6 months according to collective agreement
Base: The organization's premises in Södermalm, Stockholm. You start and end each shift at the premises.
The organization has clients in several different districts in Stockholm. During the evening shift, you may work in one district or in nearby districts depending on which clients you are scheduled with. Which area you work in is determined by the clients' needs, the organization's planning, and which staff member is best suited for each client. The work area may therefore change over time.
You travel between clients by public transport. The organization has no cars, and an SL card is a requirement for the position.
JOB DUTIES
You work in the clients' own homes and carry out granted services such as personal care, dressing and undressing, meals, evening preparations, social interaction, and other services the client has been approved for.
An important part of the work is being able to motivate the client and adapt your approach and working methods so that the help can be carried out. Documentation and feedback are part of the work.
SUPPORT AND DEVELOPMENT
You work independently at clients' homes but have support from the organization and are part of the evening team.
You receive both practical and theoretical supervision as well as continuous professional development in the organization's various specializations.
TIME REGISTRATION AND DOCUMENTATION
We use Paragå for time registration and documentation. You log in and out at each client visit with a mobile phone and NFC tag. The system registers time and position and is also used for documentation in the client's records.
