Day center for elderly seeks assistant nurse!

We are looking for an assistant nurse for our day center in Älvsjö, where you will work with elderly people with dementia. In this role, you contribute to creating meaningful days through activities and social stimulation. You will become part of a warm and supportive team that values well-being and joy at work.

• Employment type: permanent position
• Working hours: approximately 70%, for example 10:30-16:30 with a half-hour break.
• Location: Stockholm

Job responsibilities

As an assistant nurse with us, you contribute to creating a safe, secure and meaningful day for our guests. You work person-centered and adapt your support to each person's needs, wishes and circumstances.

The job duties include, among other things:

• provide good care and individual support
• meet people with dementia in a safe and respectful way
• plan and carry out walks, social activities and other meaningful occupations
• prepare and serve meals and provide support when needed
• receive guests upon arrival and help them get to transportation when going home
• document and perform other administrative tasks according to the organisation's routines
• answer the organisation's work phone and handle incoming calls
• contribute to keeping the premises clean, pleasant and safe
• follow the organisation's routines for hygiene, confidentiality, quality and safety

You collaborate with your colleagues to create a warm and well-functioning operation. Other tasks that are part of the role and the organisation's needs may also occur.

Qualifications

Requirements

• Degree in health care, preferably in elderly care, equivalent to at least 1 year full-time.
• Very good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written
• Work experience in elderly care totaling at least 2 years
• Good computer skills, for documentation

Advantageous

• Good understanding of Swedish culture and Swedish communication styles
• Ability to take initiative and responsibility
• Good knowledge of cooking and planning activities
• Experience working in a day center
