Description

Björns Kök opened its doors just before Christmas 2025, and we have had a flying start. In the center of Vemdalen By, we are building what will become the obvious living room of the Vemdalen Mountains – a place where guests, locals, and the entire village gather all year round. Behind the restaurant is KBK Vemdalen AB, and we run it with equal parts love, passion, and a strong drive to make Vemdalen a destination for all seasons.

We are now looking for an engaged head chef on a full-time, year-round basis, who wants to be part of the journey from the start and develop our kitchen. We move fast, dare to try new things, challenge ourselves, and above all, we have a lot of fun along the way!

With us, you will have a central role in the business where you lead the kitchen team, are responsible for the daily operations, and help develop both menus and the organization.

Björns Kök is the heart of our business, but not everything we do. We also run:

Fäbokrogen – the golf restaurant at Klövsjö-Vemdalen Golf Club Värdshuset Vargen – the classic inn on Vemdalsskalet that we take over for the winter season 2026/2027 FlipIt – trampoline park Padelhall KBK Arena – activity hall adjacent to the restaurant where we also organize loads of exciting events during the year

About the position

As head chef, you are responsible for the daily operations in the kitchen and lead the work. You report directly to company management and work operationally in the kitchen to be the steady point and ensure the quality of what goes out to guests. You are also responsible for optimizing purchases and for a menu that is appealing to our guests.

We are looking for someone who

Has experience as a head chef or similar role Has good leadership qualities and can motivate your team Has a good financial understanding of raw material costs and staff Is structured, solution-oriented, and confident in your role Thrives in an environment where the pace varies between seasons
