Film and Series Teacher Wanted

Kalix Folk High School is beautifully situated at the mouth of the Kalix River, a couple of kilometers from Kalix city center in Norrbotten County. The school is run by SV (Study Association Norrbotten). Today, Kalix Folk High School offers an educational alternative for approximately 250 students each year, making us a relatively large folk high school with a history dating back to 1939.

The school offers both on-site and distance education in various fields, providing a very diverse range of courses.

Knowledge is the most sought-after asset today, and at Kalix Folk High School, we ensure we contribute to popular education with a vision of placing each individual at the center.

We now need to strengthen our teaching team and are looking for a teacher for the Film and Series course.

We are looking for someone who wants to help shape the filmmakers of the future and who is passionate about supporting others into a career in an exciting film world. We believe that the ideal candidate has a solid background in film and series production, good industry insight, and a broad network. We are looking for a team player who can share their knowledge with others. You need to have a genuine desire and commitment to create something unique for our participants.

Our Film and Series course is primarily structured as a distance learning program with a few in-person meetings per year at Kalix Folk High School. Therefore, good digital skills are a merit.

Experience in popular education is a plus. Our vision is FUTURE, which also reflects the flexibility in society and our operations. Diversity, community, and joy permeate our courses, and we are keen to maintain this focus at the school. We want to make studies possible for everyone!
