Description

Mariaskolan is one of the oldest independent schools in Sweden with a Christian profile, and has been in Malmö for 40 years. Today we have about 250 students in our compulsory school (F-9) and about 100 children in our preschool. The school's principal, the Christian School Association in Malmö, is a non-profit organization, and the school is located in the Stadium area.

Mariaskolan reflects the diversity of Malmö's children and students. Our goal is to shape safe and curious students with very good academic results.

Mariaskolan's Christian values permeate the activities of the compulsory school, after-school care, and preschool.

We aim to create a good working environment for both students and employees, while striving to maintain a high pedagogical standard.

Today, about 70 committed employees work at Mariaskolan's compulsory school, after-school care, and preschool, and we look forward to meeting you!

We are now looking for a qualified technology teacher for our team in Years 7-9.

We are looking for someone who has a Christian outlook and wants to help shape our students into safe, curious, and democratic individuals. We assume that you are a certified teacher and preferably have a few years of teaching experience.

We are looking for someone who:

- has a positive view of all students' ability to succeed

- is highly committed, driven, and resourceful

- has a strong ability to communicate with students and parents in a solution-focused manner.

We are a small school that values good cooperation, so it is important that you can build good relationships with students, parents, and colleagues. We place great emphasis on personal qualities and want all our staff to contribute to a good working environment for both young and old. You will be part of the team in the upper secondary school and also help develop teaching in a subject team.

Mariaskolan has a particular focus on language-oriented work, value creation and cross-subject learning, and cooperative learning in the classroom.

We are committed to continuously developing our operations and school development, and collegial learning is a natural part according to Lgr22.

Duties:

- Teaching technology, including planning and follow-up of teaching with students and guardians, as well as assessment in these subjects.

- Some time for joint planning with teachers in special teaching groups and collaboration with other functions at the school, such as the student health team.

Qualifications:

Pedagogical university education and teaching certification as a teacher in compulsory school with qualifications in technology.

If you have worked with language-oriented teaching, value-creating learning and cross-subject work, as well as cooperative learning, this is a merit.

Personal qualities:

We are looking for someone who is warm and engaged, clear and structured as a person, a teacher whom students and guardians can easily trust.

We would like you to be creative and able to adapt your approach and pedagogical methods based on both the premises and the individual student's needs or the needs of the student group. We assume that you see each student from a holistic perspective and have a consistently positive view of students.

You are passionate about helping students both academically and in their social development, and as a person you are happy and positive about new challenges.

We place great emphasis on personal qualities, motivation, and commitment to the position.

The position is a permanent employment at 25% from the start of the term on August 17, 2026.

Warm welcome with your application!
