Primary School Teacher, Grades 4-6 with Montessori Education

The independent school Stockholm's Montessori School, Anne Frank, started in 1993 and is now part of Montessori Sweden and Atvexagruppen. We are located in Södermalm, Stockholm.

We are an F-6 school with two school units. We practice Montessori pedagogy, where the after-school program is also permeated by this pedagogy.

Next to the school is Vitabergsparken with large green areas, a playground, and sledding hills. A few hundred meters away is Tengdahlsparken with a playground and green spaces.

Our small size allows us to offer a warm and relaxed environment for the children, close contact between parents, children, and educators, an enjoyable education, and frequent use of Stockholm's offerings of museums, exhibitions, and theaters, nature studies with forest excursions, and creative activities such as art and design, music, and movement.

We are now looking for a certified teacher for our primary school and our committed team working with the older children in grades 4-6.

Your tasks will be to lead the educational work in the primary school together with other teachers. We are a small school with close collaboration between the school and the after-school program, where we help and support each other.

You are a stable, flexible, and patient person who finds it easy to collaborate with both teachers and other educators. You should be solution-oriented and feel that the child and the activities are at the center.

We would prefer if you have experience and/or training in Montessori pedagogy, as the pedagogy permeates our working methods. If you do not have Montessori training, we would like you to be prepared to train as a Montessori teacher.

You must have a teaching license with a focus on the subjects English, Swedish, Mathematics, Social Studies, and/or Science.

Qualification to teach in any of the subjects Home and Consumer Studies or Sloyd is meritorious.
