We are now looking for a qualified special education teacher for grades 4-9 with a Swedish teaching license.
The position is a permanent employment at 50-75% with start in HT 2026. Probationary employment applies during the first 6 months.
Job description
We are looking for someone who wants to make a difference for students in their lifelong learning. Our work is characterized by a positive attitude and we have strong faith in students' abilities. Together with your colleagues, you work to create a safe, structured, developing, and stimulating learning environment for students. You work in a team with teaching colleagues, student assistants, and special education coordinators. Our mission is to together lead and support students in their social and academic development. In the team, educators help each other with planning, teaching, and the students' school day. Focus on mathematics development.
Who are you?
You hold a Swedish teaching degree/special education teacher degree and a Swedish teaching license for grades 4-9, preferably with qualification in mathematics. You have clear pedagogical insight and the ability to integrate curriculum goals into your work. You have clear leadership and are strong in your student groups. You are flexible, structured, and well-prepared. You are a present and co-researching educator who challenges and stimulates students to develop. A strong belief in collaboration as a key factor for pedagogical development is natural to you. You communicate directly and humbly with guardians and build trusting relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues. You are experienced in documentation and writing action plans. You have knowledge of neurodevelopmental disorders and clarifying pedagogy. You are accustomed to working with positive behavior support and low-affect response.
You should be positive and cooperative and ready to be part of an international team.
In your role, you teach in Swedish and/or English, but among colleagues we speak mainly English as well as Swedish. This means you need to be fluent in both languages, both spoken and written.
