About Teaterkrog Culise

Teaterkrog Culise is Helsingborg's metropolitan brasserie, located in the city theater's premises at Kungsgatan 22 in the city center. At our restaurant, French flavors and Scanian ingredients meet in a vibrant environment where food, drink, and stage performances go hand in hand. We serve everything from weekday lunches and à la carte to theater dinners in connection with performances, after work in the cocktail bar, and larger events – a place for everyone and all occasions, every day of the week.

The restaurant seats about 200 guests, and during the summer months, our large outdoor terrace is filled with an additional around 190 seats. We also have a private dining room for smaller parties and, together with the theater, can accommodate events for up to 600 seated guests. Culise is run by experienced restaurateurs and food professionals and is part of the Blue Tuna Group.

About the position

As a cook at our restaurant, you are a key person in the kitchen and contribute to ensuring every guest gets an exceptional dining experience. You will work with our French-inspired menu that changes with the seasons – from lunch and à la carte to theater dinners and events. The position is suitable for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys cooking from scratch, and wants to be involved in developing both the menu and quality together with a dedicated team.

The role includes, among other things:

  • Preparing and cooking dishes of high and consistent quality according to our recipes and standards
  • Taking responsibility for your station during service, both on regular days and during larger events
  • Contributing to the receiving, handling, and control of raw materials and actively working to minimize waste
  • Following routines for hygiene and self-control (HACCP)
  • Participating in developing dishes and menus in collaboration with the head chef and other colleagues

We are looking for someone who

  • Has training as a cook and/or documented experience from à la carte kitchens
  • Is accustomed to high tempo and can maintain quality and structure even under pressure
  • Is meticulous, responsible, and has a genuine interest in food and ingredients
  • Is a team player with good collaboration skills and an unprejudiced attitude
  • Masters Swedish and/or English in speech

Meriting

  • Experience with French cuisine or brasserie
  • Familiarity with event and conference operations serving many guests
  • Experience with menu development
