About the employer
In July, we open the gates to Margarete's Bath Hotel – a historic bath hotel from the late 19th century, beautifully situated by the sea in Strandbaden on the Kulla Peninsula. We breathe new life into a classic setting, creating a seaside restaurant where guests are greeted by good food, personal service, and a warm atmosphere – equally suitable for a relaxing weekday or festive occasions. We cook from scratch with care for ingredients, quality, and feel, and will serve everything from breakfast and à la carte to meal packages and arrangements for our hotel guests and visitors.
Margarete's Bath Hotel is part of Blue Tuna Group, a growing restaurant group in northwestern Skåne. We are now building our team ahead of the opening, and you get the chance to be in from the start – in a small, close-knit team in one of Skåne's finest coastal settings.
About the position
As a chef with us, you are a key person in the kitchen, contributing to every guest having an exceptional dining experience. Since we are opening anew, you will be there from the beginning, help establish routines, and grow together with the business. You cook from scratch – from breakfast and lunch to à la carte and festive occasions. This position suits someone who thrives in a varied pace, enjoys cooking quality food, and wants to be part of a dedicated team in a startup.
The role includes, among other things:
- Being involved in launching the kitchen before opening
- Preparing and cooking dishes from scratch with high and consistent quality
- Taking responsibility for your station during service, both on regular days and larger occasions
- Contributing to receiving and handling raw materials and minimizing waste
- Following hygiene and self-check routines (HACCP)
- Contributing to a good atmosphere and cooperation in the kitchen
We are looking for someone who
- Has culinary training and/or experience from restaurant kitchens
- Cooks from scratch with a genuine interest in ingredients and quality
- Finds it inspiring to help build something new
- Is accustomed to a varied pace and maintains structure and quality even when busy
- Is meticulous, responsible, and a humble team player
- Speaks Swedish and/or English fluently
Meriting
- Experience from restaurant startups or openings
- Experience in hotel and restaurant operations with breakfast, à la carte, and events
- Familiarity with seasonal operations
