About the Position

We are looking for a licensed school nurse to start in August 2026.

As a school nurse at the upper secondary level, you have one of the most important and rewarding roles in the school world. You are a central part of the student health team (EHT) and work primarily to promote health and prevent issues, creating the best conditions for students' well-being and academic results.

The upper secondary years are an intensive period in life, making your role both broad and significant. Your main duties include:

• Driving preventive health work: You offer health talks and follow up on students' development and vaccinations.
• Providing a safe conversational support: You are an accessible adult who supports students with issues ranging from stress, sleep, and mental health to lifestyle, identity, and sexual health.
• Handling basic healthcare interventions: You perform minor emergency care, self-care, and occasionally offer open clinics for students during the school day.
• Collaborating in the EHT team: You work closely with the counselor, study and career advisor, special education teacher, and school management to identify students in need of support early, and maintain contact with guardians and external agencies such as child and adolescent psychiatry (BUP) or youth clinics.

The position is a sick leave cover from 10/8 to 18/12-26. The position rate is 90%. There is also an opportunity to adjust the position rate according to the applicant's wishes.

We are looking for someone who:

• Is a licensed school nurse, preferably with further training as a specialist nurse in children and adolescents, district nurse, or school nurse.
• Has a genuine interest in young people, is skilled at building relationships, and thrives working both independently and in a team.
