Senior Physiotherapist at Ortomed Stockholm

Ortomed Stockholm is seeking a senior physiotherapist, 70-100%, with start as soon as possible by agreement.

We are looking for someone who wants to work in-depth with orthopedic medical and functional/postural physiotherapy in a small, specialized practice where clinical reasoning, diagnostics, and treatment quality are central.

About Ortomed

Ortomed operates entirely outside regional healthcare. This gives us the freedom to design care as we believe in: with ample clinical space, clear diagnostics, relevant treatments, and continuity throughout the patient journey.

We are not a broad generalist clinic. Our core activities are orthopedic medical physiotherapy, functional and postural analysis and treatment, and orthopedic technical solutions such as shoe inserts, heel cups, orthoses, and supportive aids.

An important part of our uniqueness is that we also run Skadekompassen.se, one of Sweden's leading platforms for musculoskeletal care information. This means we reach patients who have often already sought knowledge, better understood their problem, and are actively looking for the right expertise. By matching your unique specialist skills and preferences regarding conditions to assess and treat, this results in many relevant, challenging, and meaningful patient encounters.

The Role

You will be a central part of our Stockholm operations, working closely with our on-site physiotherapist and colleagues in Gothenburg. The role suits someone who is clinically confident, accustomed to independent responsibility, and wants to be a stable point of contact for both patients and colleagues over time.

The work includes assessment and treatment of injuries and disorders of the musculoskeletal system, advice on load management and training, manual treatment, treatment modalities, and supportive measures.

The Workplace:

We have a beautiful older premises high up with a view over Vasaparken and a 5-minute walk from Odenplan.

With us, you will work with, among other things:

• Ultrasound scanning
• Shockwave therapy
• Medical laser
• EPTE
• Orthopedic shoe inserts and heel cup inserts
• Orthoses, joint supports, and other supportive aids

We are a small company with a short path from idea to change. We have workshops, article discussions, and development meetings where clinical reasoning, new working methods, and improvements are discussed.

We are looking for someone who has:

• License as a physiotherapist or naprapath
• At least 5 years of clinical experience in primary care, orthopedic medicine, or a related area
• Further education in at least one of: OMI, OMT, MDT/McKenzie
• Experience working independently with complex patients
• Strong interest in diagnostics, clinical reasoning, and evidence-based care

It is an advantage if you have experience in postural therapy, functional analysis, orthopedic technical aids, shoe inserts, orthoses, or supervision of colleagues/students.
