Taxi Driver Umeå Paratransit Vehicle (fixed salary)

We are now looking for more people to join our team of drivers for Paratransit Vehicles / Multi-purpose Vehicles in Umeå. We are looking for both full-time and part-time workers.

A multi-purpose vehicle is a minibus that can, for example, accommodate passengers in wheelchairs. Our multi-purpose vehicles can be driven with a B driver's license. However, you must have a taxi license. As a driver of a multi-purpose vehicle, you primarily perform wheelchair transports, but also stretcher transports, paratransit, school trips, and medical trips, and sometimes even regular taxi rides. Working hours are varied and follow a shift schedule, which may include evenings and weekends. However, we also have other types of schedules. For example, there are schedules with only afternoons/evenings if preferred, and there may even be schedules where you work 7 days and are off 7 days.

For the positions, employment start is as soon as possible. Before starting, training in the company's procedures and equipment will be conducted.

We primarily seek applicants who already hold a taxi license, but we also accept applicants interested in obtaining a taxi license if you seem like the right person for the organization. For those without a taxi license, we can offer assistance with studies to obtain the taxi license (study materials, etc.). We also cover the costs of obtaining the taxi license (exam fees, medical examination, etc.).

Your job duties as a taxi driver are to perform trips for Min Taxi's customers in Umeå and surrounding municipalities, and to provide our customers with really good service in the best possible way. Taxi driving is a very service-oriented profession with a lot of customer contact. It is easy to believe that taxi driving is only about trips to/from bars on weekend evenings, as that is often what one associates with taxi as a private individual. Driving a taxi with us is primarily about performing publicly funded traffic on weekdays. This includes medical trips for regions, school trips, and paratransit trips for municipalities. But also a lot of business trips for corporate customers. You constantly work with people and are often a key part of their daily lives to get to/from healthcare facilities, schools, work, etc.

We cover a large geographical area and operate traffic in large parts of Norrland. For example, we have vehicles stationed in the municipalities of Boden, Kalix, Luleå, Nordmaling, Robertsfors, Sollefteå, Vindeln, Vännäs, Umeå, and Örnsköldsvik. It is not uncommon for us to have many longer trips across municipal boundaries and large parts of Norrland. We currently have approximately 175 vehicles and about 250 employed drivers.

In addition to performing trips and taking care of our customers, the job also includes keeping the vehicles you use for trips clean and well-maintained.
