Assistant sought for young man

Experience working as a personal assistant or in care and nursing is meritorious but not required. The most important thing is that you are positive, flexible, and have good interpersonal skills – two obvious qualities for succeeding in the role.

The position is for 20 hours per week on a fixed schedule.

I am looking for a male assistant to help me in my daily life. I require a lot of assistance of various kinds, as I have a chronic illness that limits my mobility. My limitations include limited arm mobility, which allows me to hold things like my phone and an electric wheelchair to go to the pub. I really enjoy listening to music. Mostly rock, but I also listen to other genres like electronic music and even more rock! My personal favorite bands are Primus, Dead Kennedys, and Zeal & Ardor. Film is another area of interest, and I like thriller and horror genres. Directors I like include Dario Argento, David Cronenberg, and Gaspar Noé. What I am looking for in an assistant is someone who is stress-tolerant, can work independently, and preferably has similar interests.

Work tasks:

As a personal assistant, you will help me with, among other things:

• Transfer to and from wheelchair
• Dressing and undressing
• Personal hygiene
• Handing me things and being my extended arms in daily life.
