Personal Assistant in Central Hässelby

Do you live in or near Hässelby and need a part-time job? Then you now have the opportunity to work as a personal assistant starting in June and continuing through the summer and fall.

You will be working for "M", who is in his 60s and shares an apartment with his husband and cat in Hässelby Villastad. "M" has a significant mobility impairment and requires assistance around the clock. "M" communicates through a speech computer and has very limited and unclear speech. Therefore, it is important that you have a good command of the Swedish language.

The tasks include assisting with all, both planned and unplanned, aspects of "M's" life. This includes close personal care such as intimate hygiene, oral hygiene, and dressing. Additionally, you will accompany "M" on various activities outside the home. Beyond this, all household tasks are included.

As a personal assistant, you are a very important person in "M's" life. Qualities that describe you include being responsible, both towards "M's" needs and in relation to your colleagues regarding the execution of tasks.

Furthermore, you are patient, meaning you take the time to listen to "M's" needs and wishes, do not get stressed, and are prepared to change plans if necessary. Your empathy is demonstrated by your ability to put yourself in another person's situation and to listen to others' wishes. You should be a calm person by nature who can increase the pace if the situation requires it. It is also important that you have a pronounced sense of order in the tasks you perform. It is a plus if you like music and have a sense of humor. Having a driver's license is a merit!

Knowledge of aquarium maintenance is highly meritorious.

Due to the close assistance needs, only female applicants are being considered.

You are offered hourly employment, where you will initially work double shifts together with another assistant. Shifts are primarily scheduled: 08:30-16:00, 16:00-22:00, 22:00-08:30 with double coverage 11:00-16:00. The greatest need is currently during daytime.

Personal maturity and life experience are valued. It is highly meritorious if you live near northwestern Stockholm.
