Traveling Service Technician / System Consultant, Southern Sweden – Large Format
Description
Do you enjoy making advanced technology work – and helping people succeed with it? With us, you work with some of the market's most advanced machines for large format production: printers, cutting machines, and finishing equipment from Epson, Roland, Mimaki, Summa, and Canon – along with the software that ties it all together, from RIP and color management to automated production workflows.
One day you commission a new printer at a printing company in Malmö. The next day you troubleshoot a color flow remotely or train operators on site at a customer in Gothenburg. The variety is great – and you quickly become a person our customers trust. You work from your home location in southern Sweden – for example Jönköping, Gothenburg, or Malmö – and are responsible for the region, with support from the head office in Vällingby.
What you will do with us
• Installation and commissioning. Assembly of new machines and connection to the customer's existing systems and networks.
• Training. You teach operators how to use, maintain, and get more out of their equipment – including safety briefings.
• Service and troubleshooting. Analysis and corrective action on site at the customer, from mechanics and electronics to software.
• Support. By phone, remote control, and email – from your home office or on site with customers.
• System consulting. For those with the right expertise, there is an opportunity to steer the role more towards software, workflows, and integration – an area where we are growing.
Our customers often work under tight deadlines. This means plans sometimes change on short notice – and that your effort makes a real difference to their production. As a service technician, you are the company's face to the outside world.
Who you are
You are a technical problem solver who is equally comfortable with a screwdriver in hand as in an operating system. You enjoy meeting people, are pedagogical, and communicate clearly in both speech and writing. Since the position is traveling, you need to appreciate working at customers around southern Sweden, with overnight stays when assignments require it.
Requirements:
• Driver's license class B
• Technical competence in both hardware and software
• Good Swedish and English in speech and writing
Meritorious:
• Experience in service work or production within the graphic industry
• Knowledge of RIP software (e.g., Caldera or Onyx) and color management
• Technical or graphic education
• Knowledge of networking, scripting, or programming
You don't need to know everything from day one – you receive a thorough introduction and shadow experienced colleagues until you feel confident in the role.
What we offer
• Company car
• Private health insurance, wellness allowance, and pension provisions
• Certification training with our suppliers – you stay constantly updated on new technology
• A small, competent team with short decision-making paths and great freedom under responsibility
• Good opportunities to influence both your own role and how we develop the business – own initiatives and projects are encouraged
