Traveling Service Technician / System Consultant for Large Format and Graphic Production
Description
Do you enjoy making advanced technology work – and helping people succeed with it? With us, you'll work with some of the market's most advanced machines for large format production: printers, cutting machines, and finishing equipment from Epson, Roland, Mimaki, Summa, and Canon, among others – along with the software that ties it all together, from RIP and color management to automated production workflows.
One day you commission a new printer at a printing company in Gothenburg. The next day you troubleshoot a color flow remotely from the office or train operators on site at a customer. The variety is great – and you quickly become someone our customers trust.
What you'll do with us
• Installation and commissioning. Assembly of new machines and connection to the customer's existing systems and networks.
• Training. You teach operators how to use, maintain, and get more out of their equipment – including safety briefings.
• Service and troubleshooting. Analysis and remedies on site at the customer, from mechanics and electronics to software.
• Support. Via phone, remote control, and email from the office in Vällingby.
• System consulting. For those with the right skills, there is an opportunity to focus more on software, workflows, and integration – an area we are growing.
Our customers often work under tight deadlines. This means that planning sometimes changes on short notice – and that your efforts make a real difference to their production. As a service technician, you are the face of the company.
Who you are
You are a technical problem solver who is as comfortable with a screwdriver in hand as with an operating system. You enjoy meeting people, are pedagogic, and communicate clearly in speech and writing. Since the position involves travel, you need to appreciate working at customer sites around the country, with overnight stays when assignments require it.
Requirements:
• B driver's license
• Technical competence in both hardware and software
• Good Swedish and English in speech and writing
Meriting:
• Experience from service work or production in the graphic industry
• Knowledge of RIP software (e.g., Caldera or Onyx) and color management
• Technical or graphic education
• Knowledge of networking, scripting, or programming
You don't need to know everything from day one – you'll get a thorough introduction and work alongside experienced colleagues until you are comfortable in the role.
What we offer
• Company car
• Private health insurance, wellness allowance, and pension provisions
• Certification training with our suppliers – you stay constantly updated on new technology
• A small, competent team with short decision-making paths and great freedom under responsibility
• Good opportunities to influence both your own role and how we develop the business – own initiatives and projects are encouraged
