Production Manager

Job Duties

Manufacturing at Åkers Sweden AB is divided into five production areas. We are seeking a Production Manager for the finishing department in the mechanical workshop. You report directly to the Production Manager. You will be responsible for approximately 40 shift-working employees.

As Production Manager, you are responsible for daily management in production, stable production processes, and development work for the area. You are expected to lead, coach, and develop personnel to achieve set goals in safety, environment, quality, productivity, and commitment.

The role includes:

- Full personnel responsibility, including ensuring that staff competencies are at the right level and driving competence development. You conduct development discussions and are active in rehabilitation work as well as other work environment issues. Develop and lead subordinates so that they have training for the tasks they are assigned and have clearly stated responsibilities and authorities to perform and solve their tasks efficiently.

- Ensure that the technology and work methods used provide high quality and productivity.

- Communicate clear, understandable goals and key figures so that everyone in the unit is aware of them, can influence them, and feels involved.

We are looking for someone with a genuine interest in both people and technology. You have documented leadership qualities and are humble. If you have experience from a similar operation, an academic degree, or a technical education background, it is meritorious but not a requirement. What matters is your leadership contribution, commitment, understanding of the production process, and ability to develop personnel and processes towards set goals.

Your language skills are good, both oral and written, in both Swedish and English.
