Mechanical Designer at Teltek

Teltek is Sweden's only manufacturer of checkweighers for the food industry and has, since 1984, grown into an international export company with around 30 employees in Örebro. With a unique combination of technical expertise and customer focus, Teltek delivers high-performance, modular solutions to markets worldwide.

We develop, sell, and build complete machines in our own facilities. Each machine is individually configured, where mechanical design is an important part. Since the start, we have delivered more than 2,000 machines. About two-thirds of our sales are exported via distributors. In Sweden, we have our own sales staff and extensive service operations.

The Role

Do you want to work with mechanical design, both in delivery projects and new development projects? At Teltek, we build close to 200 customized machines each year, and for this we need both well-thought-out and cost-effective building blocks as well as the ability to efficiently and with high quality assemble these into a unique solution for each customer. We now need to strengthen our team with an additional mechanical designer.

Title: Mechanical Designer

Location: Örebro (On-site)

Reports to: Delivery Project Manager

This role includes responsibility for mechanical design in both delivery projects and new development projects.

Teltek is a company with a pronounced customer and process focus, and to support the company's work, we need to be available to each other. Therefore, we see that the work is mainly carried out on-site at our facilities in Örebro.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for mechanical design in delivery and new development projects
• Continuously contribute to the introduction of solutions with higher customer value and lower cost into the product range
• Contribute to process and method development to streamline work

Your Profile

You have a solid foundation in mechanical design and want to constantly develop; both on a personal level, in your work role, and together with the company. You work independently but thrive best in collaboration with others. You deliver with high quality but are efficient and have respect for timelines.

We are looking for someone who has

• University degree in mechanical engineering, vocational university education in mechanical design/CAD, or equivalent
• Knowledge of CAD
• Able and willing to work on-site in Örebro
• Self-driven, solution-oriented, and efficient

Meritorious

• Experience in mechanical design of industrial machinery
• Experience with customer projects
• Experience with 3D printers
• Experience with SolidWorks
