Eketånga Montessori School is an independent preschool and school located in Söndrum in Halmstad municipality. The school started in 1992 and consists of a preschool, after-school care, and a compulsory school for grades F-9. We have 22 preschool children and up to 250 students in the school, of which just over 90 attend the school's after-school program.

Our school is characterized by joy of work, creativity and curiosity, where students take great responsibility for their own work. The school is run by the non-profit voluntary association Eketånga Montessori School, where guardians are members. The goal is for all our children and students to develop sustainable self-leadership, reach their full potential and gain motivation for lifelong learning. We strive for everyone to feel a sense of security and respect for each other. The school is run as a non-profit association and started in 1992.

About the job:

We are looking for you who:

· Have a degree in social work and experience as a school counselor.

· Want to work part-time, 50-80%.

· Have worked with preventive and promotional initiatives at both the individual and group level.

· Are comfortable with digital systems and record keeping

Job responsibilities:

Your responsibilities as a school counselor are, in collaboration with our student health team and the rest of the school staff, to work preventively and health-promoting to contribute to a good learning and living environment for our students.

Your tasks are varied and challenging and place demands on your competence, your relationship building and your ability to reach our students.

You will partly work with:

· Participate in the school's student health team based on your profession and provide consultation and guidance to staff and work teams in both individual and group matters.

· Plan and implement preventive and promotional initiatives at the school. This may include initiatives in individual classes, conducting social mappings, investigations and group-strengthening activities.

· Meet with students and guardians through motivational interviewing.

· Actively participate in our core value work for equal treatment and against degrading treatment.

· Work preventively and promoting student attendance.

· Actively take part in our systematic work with school plans such as the Plan against discrimination, harassment and degrading treatment, the Student Health Plan, crisis plan, etc.

Your experience:

We are looking for you who currently have a social work education and who work or have worked as a school counselor.

We place great importance on personal suitability for the job and the ability to lead our school development forward together with us.
