Brovillan is a new group home for adults under LSS § 9 § 9 that started in 2025. The operation comprises four apartments; currently one person lives there and on June 1 the next person moves in. Our work involves adapted support with focus on safety, participation, and quality of life. The work is carried out based on an anthroposophical view of humanity and a social therapeutic care methodology, which means that employment with us requires openness to these ideas. The home is located in a calm and nature-near environment in Arby, close to both the local community and city life in Kalmar.
Our goal is to offer residents a safe home, a foundation for a meaningful life, and opportunities for personal development. As a housing support worker, you plan and perform your work in accordance with the basic principles of LSS, where the individual's right to integrity and self-determination are central. You shall work to ensure that residents can live as much as possible like others and experience their existence as meaningful. The work requires that you are empathetic and responsive to the resident's perspective, flexible in your approach based on the individual's daily form and ability, and reflective in order to continuously develop in your professional role.
Common work tasks include support in personal ADL, household chores, and shared activities, planning and implementation of leisure activities, and support in contacts with authorities and health care. You are also responsible for social documentation according to current legislation and work based on the organization's routines. The operation is staffed around the clock, which means shifts can be scheduled for day, evening, weekend, and night, and includes on-call duty on site at night.
For permanent employment, you need an education in care, for example nursing assistant or equivalent, social work, or pedagogy. Relevant professional experience and personal suitability are also considered. Please submit your application as soon as possible as interviews are held continuously during the application period.
Warmly welcome with your application to a meaningful operation with a clear values foundation and close work with the individual!
