
Special Education Teacher
Description
Campus Manilla is seeking a special education teacher for primary school, with a focus on grades F-6. You will be part of the school's student health team, which together with teachers and other staff works proactively and preventively for an inclusive and good learning environment. As a special education teacher, you work individually, in groups, and at the class level to create the best possible conditions for students to reach their full potential based on their circumstances. The role includes working with colleagues on additional adaptations, special support, educational assessments, action plans, and collaboration with guardians and external actors.

You have the ability to plan and organize both your own work and the students' work effectively. You have very good collaboration skills and can easily build relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues. With confidence and commitment, you mentor and support colleagues and teams, and contribute special pedagogical expertise on adaptations, teaching strategies, and learning environments. You stay updated on current research in special education and share your theoretical knowledge and pedagogical skills.
Work tasks
As a special education teacher in language, writing, and reading development or mathematics, you work both preventively and remedially to strengthen students' knowledge. You observe, document, follow up, and assess students' needs, conduct educational assessments, and plan interventions in close collaboration with teaching teachers, the student health team, and school management. Furthermore, you conduct and analyze screenings and other assessments.
The role includes providing targeted support to students in need of special support, both individually and in small groups, as well as mentoring and supporting colleagues in developing teaching. You contribute to creating good learning environments and work systematically to follow up and evaluate interventions.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who are a licensed teacher in Swedish and/or mathematics and trained as a special education teacher with a focus on language, writing, and reading development or mathematics. You have experience working with students in need of special support and are confident in conducting assessments, analyzing results, and planning relevant interventions.
You are structured, clear, and relationship-building, with the ability to collaborate closely with both teachers and student health. You have a professional approach and work solution-focused with the student's development at the center.
