Primary school teacher grades 4-6

Birkaskolan is located centrally in Ekerö municipality with good bus connections from Brommaplan. The school has children from preschool to compulsory school F-9. For the 2025/2026 academic year, we moved into newly built, purpose-built premises in the Ekebyhov area.

At Birkaskolan, we create a unique environment for lifelong learning, where the student is always at the center. Our school is based on Montessori pedagogy, which means that students early on learn to take responsibility for their studies under the support and guidance of their teachers. We aim to provide students with a solid knowledge platform for further studies, adapted to each student's basic conditions. As a modern Montessori school, we believe in a pedagogy that encourages the student's innate curiosity. We do not read ourselves to knowledge – we learn with all our senses.

Now there is an opportunity to become part of our team in grades 4-6. The classes in middle school are four in number and age-mixed. We work with a two-teacher system where two teachers share subjects and mentoring in one class. The student groups are age-mixed, and the older children are role models who can guide and help the younger ones.

We have a well-anchored value base consisting of the words participation, respect, development, and security. These words are very much alive, and we work based on these values in everything we do. We are looking for a teacher qualified to teach in middle school. We want you to have good collaboration skills, be flexible, and have a positive attitude. It is important that you like challenges, are solution-oriented, and work with relational leadership.

Your work as a teacher includes planning students' knowledge development, collaborating with colleagues, parents, and management, as well as other tasks that are part of a teacher's assignment. Extent 80-100%.
