Primary school teacher grades 4-6

Birkaskolan is centrally located in Ekerö Municipality with good bus connections from Brommaplan. The school serves children from preschool to compulsory school grades F-9. In the 2025/2026 school year, we moved into newly built, functional premises in the Ekebyhov area.

At Birkaskolan, we create a unique environment for lifelong learning, where the student is always at the center. Our school is based on Montessori pedagogy, which means that students learn early on to take responsibility for their studies under the support and guidance of their teachers. We work to provide students with a solid knowledge platform for further studies, adapted to each student's basic conditions. As a modern Montessori school, we believe in a pedagogy that encourages the student's innate curiosity. We do not read our way to knowledge—we learn with all our senses.

There is now an opportunity to become part of our team in grades 4-6. There are four mixed-age classes in the intermediate level. We work with a two-teacher system where two teachers share subjects and mentorship in one class. The student groups are age-mixed, and older children act as role models, guiding and helping younger ones.

We have a well-established value system based on the words participation, respect, development, and safety. These words are very much alive, and we work based on these values in everything we do. We are looking for a teacher who is qualified to teach at the intermediate level. We want you to have good collaborative skills, be flexible, and have a positive attitude. It is important that you like challenges, are solution-oriented, and work with a relational leadership style.

Your work as a teacher includes planning students' knowledge development, collaborating with colleagues, parents, and management, as well as other tasks that are part of a teacher's assignment. Scope 80-100%.
