We are seeking someone to teach our students in practical programs and show them how mathematics connects to real life - whether it involves calculating voltage drop for an electrician or volume measures for a carpenter.

About the role

As a mathematics teacher with us, you are responsible for teaching Mathematics Level 1 to our vocational students. The position is 50%, offering great flexibility and is perfect for those who may combine the role with studies, own business, or wish to reduce working hours.

The position can be combined with a 50% temporary role as EHT coordinator.

Your main duties:

• Plan and conduct lessons adapted for vocational preparatory programs.
• Adapt teaching to students' individual needs and conditions.
• Actively work to connect mathematical elements to students' future professional roles.
• Be part of one of our teaching teams where we collaborate on students' overall well-being and results.
• Being a mentor is included in the position.

Who are you?

We are looking for a confident educator who thrives in an environment where relationships matter and can translate mathematics into practical vocational skills. You have the ability to create calm in the classroom and can explain the same problem in three different ways until "the penny drops."

We are looking for someone who:

• Is a licensed mathematics teacher (upper secondary school qualification is meritorious).
• Has experience of, or a strong interest in, vocational pedagogy.
• Is flexible, unpretentious, and has a good ability to collaborate with colleagues in other subjects.
• Possesses strong patience and a positive view of students.
