Do you want to work in education while contributing to the future of industry and automation? Kunskapsgruppen Yrkeshögskola is now seeking a dedicated teacher in automation, PLC, and industrial technology for our higher vocational education program Robot Technician.

This is a role for someone with industry experience who wants to share their knowledge with the next generation of technicians. You do not need to be a specialist in robots; the most important thing is that you have broad expertise in automation, control systems, electrical engineering, or industrial production and enjoy working with people and learning.

About the education

Robot Technician is a two-year higher vocational education program focused on industrial automation, control systems, PLC, robotics, and modern production technology. The program is developed in close collaboration with the industry and is based on the skill needs within Swedish industry. Teaching is conducted remotely with recurring physical meetings in Gothenburg, Stockholm, and Malmö.

About the role

As a teacher with us, you will play an important role in educating future technicians and automation specialists. You will work together with other teachers and educational leaders to plan and conduct teaching in areas such as automation, PLC, control systems, industrial electrical engineering, and production technology. Depending on your background and experience, elements of robotics and industrial systems may also be included. We are primarily looking for someone who can contribute practical experience from industry and help our students understand how technology is used in reality.

The role involves both teaching and some administration, such as documentation, contact with students, and grading. You will become an important part of a smaller team with close collaboration and good opportunities to influence the content and development of the education.

Your main tasks

• Plan and conduct teaching in automation, PLC and industrial technology
• Supervise and support students in their learning
• Contribute to maintaining high quality and relevance of the education for the industry
• Collaborate with companies and industry contacts
• Participate in the development of the education's content and structure
• Handle some administration related to the education and students

We are looking for someone who

• Has experience in automation, PLC, electrical engineering, control systems, or industrial production
• Has practical experience from industry
• Enjoys sharing knowledge and supporting others in their development
• Is pedagogical, communicative, and structured
• Has good computer skills and experience with Office365
• Is comfortable combining teaching and administrative tasks
• Masters Swedish well in speech and writing

Meriting

• Experience in teaching or supervision
• Experience in robotics or industrial robots
• Experience from higher vocational education or other technical educational activities
