Category Manager

Job Duties

As a Category Manager, you play a key role in our procurement work by actively driving cross-functional and strategic purchasing in collaboration with the company's various departments and stakeholders. You will negotiate commercial terms and secure agreements for products and services. You will also ensure an accurate understanding of needs for direct materials within your area of responsibility and monitor deliveries against placed purchase orders.

You will report to the Purchasing Manager. Together, you will work to ensure a stable material supply to the manufacturing unit Åkers Sweden.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone with a university degree in economics/engineering or equivalent, or at least five years of experience in qualified procurement work. You have experience in cross-functional work and project management, as well as experience in strategic, tactical, and operational purchasing. Naturally, you have documented negotiation skills. It is required that you have good oral and written proficiency in Swedish, as you will communicate with various functions within the company, as well as good knowledge of English in both speech and writing.

To thrive in this role, we see that you have a strong interest in business, both commercial and financial. You have the ability to build strong relationships cross-functionally and with suppliers. Furthermore, you have the ability to drive, lead, and support change processes.
