Are you a skilled lawyer with interest in data protection and leadership? We are now seeking Deputy Heads of Unit for the Authority's two supervisory units.
As Deputy Head of Unit, you will have an exciting and responsible role in an authority undergoing expansion. The operation is characterized by the major reforms of recent years, both in legislation on covert coercive measures and on personal data processing.

About the Authority
The Authority for Security and Integrity Protection is a government agency tasked with assisting the Security and Integrity Protection Board, a special decision-making body within the authority, in its supervision of, among other things, law enforcement authorities' use of covert coercive measures and qualified protection identities, and of the Police Authority and the Security Service's processing of personal data in law enforcement activities. In delegations within the authority, cases are handled regarding, among other things, permits for qualified protection identities and register checks.

Job duties
The supervisory activities of the authority are divided into two units: the Unit for Supervision of Covert Coercive Measures and the Unit for Supervision of Personal Data Processing. Currently, eleven and eight legal analysts, respectively, work in the units. Each unit is headed by a Head of Unit.
In your role as Deputy Head of Unit, you assist the Head of Unit in leading, planning, and following up on work within the unit. You play a key role in guiding employees in their daily work, quality-assuring documents and decisions, as well as being responsible for leading and participating in inspections. You are a dedicated support and sounding board for the Head of Unit on issues regarding working methods, procedures, operations development, competence supply, and work environment. You serve as deputy Head of Unit when needed. Since the role of Deputy Head of Unit is newly established at the authority, you will, together with the Head of Unit, have the opportunity to develop and shape the specific content of the position.
About you
You must be graduate from the judges' training programme or have equivalent experience in qualified legal work. In addition, you must have worked for several years thereafter in the Government Offices, at a court, or in other operations relevant to the authority's mission. You have a good ability to express yourself on legally complex issues, both orally and in writing. Experience in supervision is meritorious.

You have initiative, can create engagement and participation in the work group, and motivate employees in a way that promotes continuous development. You are perceptive, communicative, and easily builds trust-based relationships. To thrive in this work, you need a genuine interest in society and follow the general societal debate. The work places high demands on security and confidentiality; therefore, a high level of security awareness is required. Great emphasis will be placed on your personal characteristics.

Employment type: Permanent. The authority applies a probationary period of six months.

Since the position is placed in security class, Swedish citizenship is required. Approved security vetting with a register check is a prerequisite for employment.

The Authority changed its management form on March 1, 2026. The Authority then transitioned from being a board agency led by the Security and Integrity Protection Board to becoming a single-head agency led by a Director. In connection with this, the Authority changed its name from the Security and Integrity Protection Board to the Authority for Security and Integrity Protection. The supervision tasks of the Security and Integrity Protection Board have not been affected by the change. We are located in modern, newly renovated premises in central Stockholm.
