Description
Ájtte, Swedish Mountain and Sámi Museum, is the main museum for Sámi culture in Sweden, a specialized museum for mountain nature and culture, and an information center for mountain tourism. Ájtte is located in Jåhkåmåhkke/Dálvvadis, in Jokkmokk municipality, just north of the Arctic Circle. A large area where forests, mountains, marshes, rivers, and lakes meet.
The museum owns its own premises and property, housing a library, exhibitions, staff, and tenants.
Temporary Position: Property Manager/Caretaker
We are looking for someone who wants a varied and practical summer job. As a temporary property manager at Ájtte, you will play a central role in creating a good, well-functioning, and pleasant environment for visitors, staff, and tenants during the summer season.
When the regular property manager is on vacation, you are responsible for the daily operation of our premises, museum park, and service functions. The work is independent, varied, and social – perfect for someone who thrives with freedom under responsibility and an active job where no two days are alike.
The position includes daily inspection and maintenance of buildings and the museum's outdoor environment. You will handle fault correction, simple repairs, ongoing operations, and checks of technical systems such as heating, ventilation, and other installations.
You are also responsible for issues related to alarms and security. The role further includes practical tasks, key management, and postal services.

Qualifications
For this temporary position, we would like you to have:
Experience in practical work, preferably in crafts or property management
Skills in simple repairs and maintenance
Some understanding of technical systems such as heating and ventilation
Valid B driver's license
Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
Working hours/Duration
Full-time/part-time, temporary summer position during the period 2026-07-06 to 2026-08-28
Salary
The museum applies individual salary setting.
