Licensed Practical Nurse to Optalmica Eye Clinic Västerås

We are seeking an engaged and experienced licensed practical nurse for our eye clinic in private healthcare. With us, you will have the opportunity to work in a modern environment with the patient in focus and close collaboration between different professional categories.

Optalmica Eye Clinics are the small big eye clinic. We have our own clinics and regional assignments in Eskilstuna, Gävle, Stockholm, and Västerås.

Optalmica Eye Clinic in Västerås offers cataract surgeries including pre-operative assessments, eye doctor consultations, visual field tests, and glaucoma check-ups.

We work on behalf of Region Västmanland and also perform RLE surgeries and plastic surgeries in private practice. Our modern, fresh, and functional premises are centrally located in Västerås near the train station.

Our staff group currently consists of Clinic Manager, Deputy Clinic Manager, Operating Room Nurse, Ophthalmic Nurse, Optometrist, Licensed Practical Nurses, Optician Assistants, Receptionist, and Eye Specialist Doctors.

We are a tight-knit team that enjoys each other's company and has fun at work. The tasks vary. Collaboration between the different roles at the clinic and between Optalmica's various clinics is paramount in our operations. We work based on proven medical experience as well as established company-wide routines and processes.

We are now looking for a licensed practical nurse for a permanent position at 80-100% with start on September 1, 2026, or possibly earlier. Need for 1-2 positions.

About the position

You will work with both pre-assessments for doctor visits and your own clinics, where independence and accuracy are important qualities. The work is varied and includes patient contact, administrative tasks, and technical procedures.

Tasks

• Preparatory examinations before doctor visits
• Independent practical nurse clinics
• Glaucoma check-ups (meritorious)
• Participation in surgeries (meritorious)
• Bookings and telephone advice
• Documentation in the medical records system Cosmic

Qualifications

• Licensed practical nurse
• Experience working in a clinic, preferably in eye care
• Good computer skills and experience with digital medical records
• Experience with Cosmic is meritorious
• You express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing

You are accurate, responsible, and service-oriented. You thrive working both independently and in a team and have a genuine interest in providing good care and customer service.

Meritorious

• Experience in development or quality improvement in healthcare
• Additional training, e.g., CPR instructor or similar that can contribute to the development of the operation
