Description
Project Manager
Do you want to work at the intersection of people, landscape and knowledge? The Silver Museum in Arjeplog is looking for a project manager for a two-year collaborative project focusing on dialogue and knowledge development around forestry, reindeer husbandry and other land use.
The Silver Museum is a cultural history museum with a particular focus on the relationship between people and landscape in northern Sweden. Through the research institute INSARC, we conduct interdisciplinary research, and the museum serves as a meeting place for local collaboration.
The project aims to develop and test forestry methods that better consider local needs. The work is carried out in close collaboration with Sami villages, local forest owners and researchers. The project also covers other local land and resource issues.
As project manager, you have a central role in coordinating stakeholders and creating conditions for dialogue, joint learning and long-term relationships. Your tasks include leading and coordinating the project, planning field visits and meetings, responsible for documentation and reporting, maintaining contact with participants, and working closely with the Silver Museum's staff and the project's steering group.
We are looking for someone who
*has documented experience of project management,
*has the ability to lead collaborative processes,
*is structured, independent and responsible,
*expresses themselves well in spoken and written Swedish.
Experience from the Arjeplog area or similar inland municipalities is advantageous, as is knowledge of forestry, reindeer husbandry, other land use and sustainability issues.
Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability. You are responsive, communicative and thrive in the role of process leader and relationship builder.
We offer a meaningful and stimulating job where you contribute to dialogue and knowledge development in issues that are central to northern Sweden's future.
The employment is for two years and full-time (or according to agreement). Place of work is Arjeplog, with some possibility for remote work. Travel is included. Start according to agreement.
