Product Responsible Technician

We are now looking for a product responsible technician to join the team in Uppsala. We are primarily interested in you who want to work in a smaller team where high demands on quality and delivery are in focus. Here you will have the opportunity to work broadly across production, service, customer contacts, and administration in close collaboration with your colleagues.

As the product responsible, you will be part of a team of four colleagues who work with service, support, maintenance, and administration, among other things. You will report directly to the CEO and be part of the management group. To be a good fit for the company, you are expected to be a humble yet engaged person with solid experience in mechanics and electrical troubleshooting.

About Autosober

Since the 1980s, Autosober has worked with alcohol measurement and is one of the few manufacturers worldwide that produces, sells, and maintains IR-based alcohol meters that meet the requirements for legal evidence instruments. Autosober's customers are mainly in Europe, with a focus on the Nordic countries. Customers include judicial systems, authorities, and private companies.

Autosober is a company aiming for steady expansion as our customer base grows, and we see a long-term need for reinforcement to provide our customers with top-class service.

The company currently consists of seven employees with premises in northern Uppsala. It is privately owned, and the majority of the owners are active in the business. The team is small with great flexibility, where everyone helps out with certain tasks.

The role requires strategic thinking, the ability to prioritize, and a solution-oriented, independent way of working. You will be responsible for and participate in the production chain, and we encourage a willingness to grow with the company. We see all employees as important in delivering on customer expectations.

Who we are looking for

We are looking for someone with post-secondary education in electronics, software engineering, or equivalent professional experience, who wants a varied position balancing administrative and practical tasks.

Experience in troubleshooting circuit boards and mechanics using schematics and drawings, as well as good knowledge of soldering.

As product responsible, you will need to be flexible and adapt your efforts to emerging needs. Furthermore, you have a good ability to organize, lead, and make things happen – always with a clear next step. You must also have good collaboration skills with both local and international contacts.

Communicates fluently in Swedish and English, both spoken and written, and has good computer skills.

Below is a summary of the main tasks.

• Troubleshooting at component level: Analyze and fix electronic and mechanical faults.
• Production planning: Input, purchasing, and distribution of tasks.
• Production of equipment and accessories.
• Documentation: Ensure internal documentation of completed actions.
• Provide input, quotes, and delivery information to customers, as well as billing details to administration.

• Support: Serve as contact person for our customers regarding production, technical, and software issues.
• Product owner: Responsible for the product throughout its lifecycle. Participate in the development team for both software and hardware.
• Follow-up: Monitor customer satisfaction, workflow, and quality work.
