Description

Ebba Pettersson's Private School is a school run as a non-profit foundation. We are an F-9 school with approximately 650 students. The school has a long history as one of Gothenburg's oldest primary schools. Since the early 2000s, the school has been located in Järnbrott and is characterized by a culture focusing on our traditions based on our core values safety, pride, commitment, development, and joy.

We are looking for a full-time curator.

The curator is an important part of the school's cross-professional student health work and in developing the school's social life.

It is a varied job that involves a lot of contact with staff, students, and guardians. This also includes working in the student health team and contributing based on one's area of expertise as well as taking initiative for development. The curator's mission means bringing psychosocial work into the school to help students achieve their knowledge goals. Seeing the student in their context means finding out and understanding how the student is doing in their free time, in the family, and in the class. All with the aim of removing obstacles to students' learning, so that students thrive and develop positively according to the school's goals of "knowledge, upbringing, health".

Mission

  • Conduct social investigation and mapping materials
  • Provide guidance and consultation to school staff based on observations, investigation, and mapping. Simpler training sessions may also be included.
  • Participate in network meetings and collaborate with social services, child and adolescent psychiatry, police, and other relevant external actors
  • Contribute to the work of mapping, planning, establishing, and implementing action plans in our student health, safety, and values work as well as in efforts to counteract problematic school absenteeism.
  • Organize and contribute with expertise in crisis management and conflict resolution
  • Lead and organize the school's safety team
  • Conversations with students, individually and in groups, as well as with guardians

Your competence and experience

We are looking for someone with a social work degree with previous experience of working in schools. The curator's work requires the ability to handle several different perspectives, as school social work must protect and highlight the importance of structural, organizational, and relational perspectives. This requires knowledge of children and young people and their development.

You must be able and willing to work independently and be a good administrator and, above all, an empathetic person who meets students, guardians, and colleagues with care.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

The position is a permanent full-time position.

A probationary period of 6 months applies. Start in early August 2026, or by agreement. Selection and interviews are ongoing.

Open to all We focus on your competence, not your other conditions. We are open to adapting the role or workplace to your needs.
