As an art teacher at Ingridskolan, you have responsibility and great freedom to drive and develop the subject at the school, and we therefore look for someone who is passionate and proactive.
A full-time position involves teaching at both Ingridskolan's upper secondary school and about 25% of the position at the school's junior high school (grades 7-9).
You will be responsible for small classes of about 10 students in junior high and 10-14 in upper secondary. You will guide them in their schoolwork with the help of teaching assistants who work in the various classes. You need to be flexible and able to adapt instruction to students' different needs.
About the school
Ingridskolan is a small junior high and upper secondary school primarily adapted for students with ASD (autism spectrum disorder) but is open to all and follows the standard curriculum. The school is located in Bergshamra, Solna.
The school works based on the TEACCH method, where each group/class has one teacher and one or two teaching assistants.
Ingridskolan is a workplace with good opportunities for pedagogical challenges and development, aiming to create good learning and leisure environments for children and youth with ASD. To enable this, staff receive ongoing supervision and further training in ASD.
