JOB DUTIES

Are you a trained special education teacher who is passionate about teaching and working with children and adolescents? Do you also have the sensitivity to meet students with various difficulties and feel comfortable in the role of being the bridge between students and teachers? As a special education teacher at Annaskolan grades 1-9, the special support mainly focuses on core subjects, but sometimes students also need help in other subjects. In addition to teaching mathematics at the intermediate level, you will also work with educational assessments, action programs, be a member of the student health team, and provide guidance to staff. Interviews are conducted continuously during the application period and the position may be filled before the application deadline.

The position is part-time 80% with a split of 60% special education teacher and 20% mathematics teacher.

Probationary employment of 6 months applies.

QUALIFICATIONS

Formal qualifications: We are looking for you who are a trained special education teacher, which is a requirement, and who have previous experience in teaching. It is advantageous if you have previous experience of teaching at the lower secondary level.

Personal qualities: We are looking for someone who is pedagogically skilled with a good understanding of how individuals acquire knowledge and their different conditions. You are also flexible and can quickly change your approach and attitude, seeing opportunities in change. You are collaborative and work well with others by listening, showing interest, and respect. You understand the shared mission and work to ensure that it is as good as possible. Furthermore, you are independent and have the courage and ability to make your own decisions within the scope of your assignment without relying on others. You take responsibility for your tasks and drive the work forward.
