Södra skolan in Kalmar is a centrally located independent primary and lower secondary school for grades F-9 with approximately 390 students and a maximum of 26 students per class. We are looking for a licensed teacher of English for grades 6 to 9. We are looking for someone with great commitment, positive expectations, and a willingness to work purposefully so that all students feel included and seen. You work formatively and are humble in the face of new knowledge that develops you in your teacher role. You have good self-awareness, are structured, and confident in your classroom leadership. You are a good communicator and able to maintain good relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians. You enjoy closeness to students and colleagues, are perceptive, and collaborate easily. The assignment includes mentorship.

Interviews will be conducted continuously during the application period. The position is a permanent employment with a 6-month probationary period and starts in August 2026.
