Group Manager to the Premises Supply Unit at the Finance Department
Description
Are you ready for a larger task?
The Swedish Police Authority is Sweden's largest government agency with approximately 40,700 employees nationwide. With us, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the Police's mission – to increase safety and reduce crime in society.
The Swedish Police Authority is in an expansive phase. To accommodate more employees, existing premises need to be made more efficient, rebuilt, extended, and entirely new police stations need to be created. The authority does not own any premises but instead rents approximately 1.9 million square meters of premises distributed across 1,800 rental agreements, with a rental cost of over SEK 4 billion.
The Premises Supply Unit is part of the Police Authority's Finance Department. The unit's mission is to ensure that the authority has suitable premises in the short and long term. The Premises Supply Unit is located throughout the country and consists of approximately 140 employees divided into seven sections: one central development section and six regional production sections: North, Central, Stockholm, East, South, and West/Bergslagen.
Section North is responsible for all premises supply activities within its geographic area of responsibility. The section is divided into two groups: Projects and Management. The Projects group drives major renovation and new construction projects in the region. The Management group is responsible for the operation and maintenance of existing premises, minor renovations within the existing premises portfolio, and maintains ongoing dialogue with landlords and the police operations that use the premises.
We are now looking for a Group Manager for the Management group in Section North. As a Group Manager, you will lead a group of 7 employees located in Region North. The staff are primarily located at the main police stations in each Police Area: Luleå, Umeå, Sundsvall, and Östersund.
Travel within the group's area occurs.
Duties
The assignment as Group Manager for Management Group North

As Group Manager, you represent the entire Police Authority both internally and externally and work to strengthen confidence in police operations. In your role, you conduct ongoing dialogues with the Police's core operations, property owners, contractors, and internal collaboration partners such as the IT Department, Security Department, Procurement Unit, and Internal Service. The role of Group Manager places you at the center of events, with the goal of efficiently creating premises that provide operational benefit for our core operations. As a person, you are driven and solution-focused!
Being a manager and leader within the Police Authority means creating security and building trust by exercising sincere, courageous, and responsive leadership with trust in others' competence and ability.
