Lofsdalsfjällens Turistnäring Ekonomisk Förening is seeking a CEO who wants to work closely with businesses and drive the destination's development through projects, financing, and targeted initiatives that create real value in the area.

About Lofsdalen

Lofsdalen in Härjedalen is a small mountain village with approximately 170 permanent residents, located in one of Sweden's most spectacular mountain environments.

About the role

As CEO of Lofsdalsfjällens Turistnäring Ek. För., you play a central role in developing the destination together with the business community. The assignment involves identifying opportunities, formulating development initiatives, and transforming them into concrete projects that strengthen Lofsdalen as a destination.

An important part of the role is working with external funding. You are responsible for the entire chain – from formulating project ideas and writing applications to leading implementation and ensuring results.

In this role, you collaborate with functions within the destination responsible for trails, activities, marketing, and hospitality. Your primary focus is on business development, destination development, and project management.

You report to a board and work closely with the destination's businesses, requiring strong collaboration skills, clear communication, and the ability to build support for your work.

The role is both strategic and operational – you set direction while also being hands-on in execution.

Your key responsibilities

• Lead operations and develop the CEO role
• Create clear member value and engagement
• Identify development needs and initiate projects
• Formulate and write project applications, securing external funding
• Lead and implement projects together with businesses and public actors
• Contribute to developing collaboration within the destination
• Strengthen the destination's competitiveness and attractiveness year-round

• Has experience in strategic development, business development, or destination development
• Has documented experience in driving projects from idea to implementation
• Has a strong ability to formulate and write qualified project applications
• Is a clear leader and relationship builder
• Can unite different actors around common initiatives
• Is both strategic and operational in your work approach
