Accounting Economist at Peges
Description
Would you like to strengthen the finance function as we bring two production units together in the same group? At our company, you will become an important part of the team, helping to build upon our financial operations as the business develops.
Peges i Ljusdal AB is an established contract manufacturer with complete solutions for sheet metal and pre-assembled subsystems. In April 2026, we acquired Jonsson & Paulsson Industri, which now operates as JP Industri AB in Östersund. We are thus an industrial group with two production units and common processes to further develop.
We are now looking for an accounting economist to be based in Ljusdal. You will report to our head of finance and strengthen our accounting and reporting flow in a group environment. The role is important for ensuring quality in figures, clear decision-making materials, and stable financial follow-up in a group that is growing and undergoing rapid development.
A large part of the work will be related to JP Industri AB, where we have high ambitions and see a very exciting future. You contribute with reliable accounting quality so that we can focus on customers, production, and growth.
Your main tasks
- Ongoing bookkeeping and reconciliations in accordance with regulations and internal routines.
- Participation in monthly and year-end closing work, as well as follow-up of balance sheets and profit and loss statements.
- Support with invoicing and accounts receivable/payable, VAT and tax returns, payroll administration, and other ongoing financial administration.
- Preparation of reports, key figures, and materials for management, as well as improvement of working methods and reporting structures.
- Close collaboration with the head of finance and the rest of the organization, with particular focus on support related to JP Industri AB.
- Participation in regulatory compliance and internal control – documentation, reconciliations, and materials for audit.
We are looking for someone who
- Has post-secondary education in finance, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Has practical experience in accounting, including closing work.
- Has experience with Monitor or equivalent MPS/ERP system.
- Has experience with payroll work.
- Communicates fluently in Swedish, both spoken and written.
- Works in a structured, meticulous manner with high integrity.
Meritorious
- Experience from a group with multiple companies and/or industrial operations.
- Interest in simplifying reports and thereby improving decision support.
- Experience with intercompany transactions, inventory, or fixed asset accounting.
Personal qualities
You are confident in the details without losing sight of the big picture, communicative when figures need to be understandable to others, and can handle change in a growing business. You enjoy collaboration, take responsibility, and contribute with calm, professional service to the organization.
What we offer
- A key role in a manufacturing industrial group in an expansive development phase.
- A flat organization with short decision paths and good opportunities to influence working methods and processes.
- Colleagues with high industry expertise and a professional, hands-on culture.
- Collective agreement with secure employment terms, wellness allowance, and access to occupational health services.
