We are now recruiting up to 15 technicians for the Department of Computer Science, located at the Division of Artificial Intelligence and Integrated Computer Systems (AIICS).

About the job

We are looking for technicians for development work in two areas: Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the Internet of Things. Your tasks will primarily consist of programming.

About you

We are looking for you who are admitted to technical education at basic or advanced level at Linköping University. Knowledge of programming and good knowledge of Swedish and English, both oral and written, are requirements.

In addition, we require that you have:

  • Knowledge of object-oriented programming, Java, and Python.
  • Basic knowledge of database technology SQL.

It is meritorious if you have:

  • Previous participation in programming projects/demonstrator projects in AI/IoT. Particularly meritorious is documented programming work in the transport sector (ATM, UTM, VTS) or system development in industrial automation.
  • Also meritorious is programming work with Unreal Engine, system administration, and development of multi-agent systems.

Your workplace

The Department of Computer Science (IDA) was founded in 1983 but our roots go back to the early 1970s. It is one of the largest computer science departments in Northern Europe. Our research covers a broad spectrum of areas, from basic computer science to applied areas. The extensive research also affects our basic and graduate education, leading us to offer courses in several civil engineering and college engineering programs, as well as programs in innovative programming, cognitive science, and statistics.

You will work at the Human-AI Interaction Lab (HAIIL) at the Division of Artificial Intelligence and Integrated Computer Systems (AIICS), Department of Computer Science.

About the employment

The extent of the work is 50-100% for 2-4 months as agreed.

Work will be carried out during the summer of 2026 and entry takes place earliest 2026-06-01 or as agreed.

The position may be placed in a security class. If so, a security review with a background check will be conducted before a decision on employment is made.
