Our IT division at Svenska kraftnät is growing to enable a doubling of electricity production and a fossil-free future. With new technology, we are increasing both the capacity of the infrastructure and the pace of development in digitalization and processes. To accelerate development, we have established an innovation lab. Here we build and test new solutions and turn AI into concrete value for the entire organization.

About the position

We are now looking for a Tech Lead for our innovation lab to lead the work of scaling and industrializing AI solutions within the organization.

As a Tech Lead, you will belong to the Digitalization and Innovation unit, a strategic function within the IT division that operates at the intersection of technology and business development. You will collaborate with senior tech leads to transform prototypes into production-ready solutions and ensure they meet high technical and security requirements. Much of the work is at the cutting edge of technology, with AI as a central component – both as a development tool and as part of the solution.

Examples of tasks

• Lead the work of taking prototypes to finished products in a scalable way.
• Define frameworks and instructions for AI agents aimed at automating and streamlining development work.
• Conduct code and architecture reviews to identify areas for improvement.
• Ensure that technical and security requirements are met.
• Drive strategic and operational work to spread AI usage within the IT organization.

You will have the opportunity to participate in courses, workshops, and conferences to stay updated on the latest technologies and trends in AI and digital innovation.

About you

We are looking for someone who is proactive, analytical, and has the ability to see the big picture as well as opportunities in complex environments. You are driven by innovation, are trustworthy, and communicate with factual and well-founded arguments. With strong collaboration skills, you create shared understanding and forward momentum together with others. As a person, you are structured, able to break down complex issues into clear parts, and contribute to clarity and direction. We place great emphasis on personal qualities.

Furthermore, you have a university degree, or equivalent competence acquired in other ways. You also have:

• Very good programming skills (several years of work experience as a developer).
• Experience working as a technical leader/architect in development projects.
• Experience using both AI in development and AI as part of a solution.
• Experience from working in or towards larger organizations with modern development work.
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English.

It is considered meritorious if you have:

• Experience scaling AI solutions within organizations.
• Experience driving security work – both manual and automated.
• Experience in strategic work.
• Experience working in security-sensitive operations.
