Haga Stable & Care is looking for a Riding School Manager for Nyäng Riding Facility in Nyköping

Haga Stable & Care has been commissioned to operate the Nyäng riding facility for the municipality of Nyköping starting in the autumn term of 2026. The facility will host riding school activities and other horse and equestrian related activities such as competitions, training, education, leisure, social care work, and more. Haga Stable & Care already operates Smedstad Equestrian Center in Linköping, offering a wide range of horse-related activities. At Smedstad Equestrian Center, we run riding school activities in close collaboration with the non-profit association Linköping Riding Club, with approximately 700 rides per week and 60 horses, plus pair riding, HUI activities, riding camps, competitions, etc. We also run an adapted workplace (daily activities according to LSS) and open leisure activities for children in grades 4-6. Job Description

We are now looking for a key person for the role of Riding School Manager. A person who wants to help build up the operations at the Nyäng riding facility from the ground up. A driven, competent, and solutions-oriented person with strong social skills and with education and experience in horse riding instruction and other common tasks at a riding school/facility. As a leader, you are perceptive, trustworthy, and at your strongest when things are tough. Your leadership inspires others, and you share our values of equal worth for all people and doing good in society.

You must be passionate about developing horse-related operations with the goal of enabling as many people as possible to have contact with horses and riding. You enjoy interacting with different people, express yourself well in speech and writing, and can teach students of all ages at various levels in horses and riding. You stand for good horse welfare and safe horse handling. Good computer skills are required, and we prefer if you have experience working with riding school administrative systems, as well as knowledge and experience in editing websites and managing social media. You are thorough, work in a structured manner, and communicate and coordinate with different stakeholders to meet challenges and deadlines.

Previous experience in business development and as a manager with personnel and work environment responsibilities is advantageous.

The role includes

  • Overall responsibility for operations, horses, and staff.
  • Staff management and work environment responsibility.
  • Horse recruitment, training, and responsibility for the operation's horses.
  • Customer contacts via phone, email, and face-to-face meetings.
  • Planning, development, and follow-up of riding school activities and other facility operations.
  • Financial responsibility to ensure operations follow set budget/forecast.
  • Administration in Hippocrates Academy and other routine administration such as websites, social media, bookings, etc.
  • Riding instruction for children, adolescents, and adults, as well as people with disabilities at various levels.
  • Integrated work with other staff and operations within Haga Stable & Care AB.
  • Coordination and collaboration with other stakeholders at the facility, e.g., contractors, schools, the municipality, and local clubs.
  • All other common operational tasks.

Qualifications

  • Education and experience in horse work at a professional level.
  • Swedish riding instructor at least SRL II level or equivalent.
  • Good computer skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Valid driver's license (B class).

Meritorious

  • Horse management degree or other relevant higher education.
  • Experience in social media management and website editing.
  • Experience in staff and operational management.
  • Coach training, teaching training, or other pedagogical education.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

Information

Working hours will be scheduled during the day, evenings, and weekends according to operational needs.

Employment rate: 75-100% by agreement.

Collective bargaining agreement with the property sector applies.
