We are now looking for two personal assistants for a man in his 60s living in northern Gotland. He lives with ALS and needs safe, professional, and respectful support in his daily life. Here you will have an important role in a small team where continuity, responsibility, and collaboration are crucial.

This is a job for you who are responsible, perceptive, and understand the importance of integrity, self-determination, and continuity.

About the position

As a personal assistant, you work closely with the client and provide important support in his daily life. The work is carried out in his home and in the environments where he stays.

Tasks may include:

· Personal care

· Support with daily routines

· Transfers

· Accompaniment during activities and errands

· Practical support at home

The work requires presence, patience, and the ability to adapt to the client's daily condition and needs.

The work is structured, and you will receive a clear introduction to aids and routines.

Working hours

We offer two separate full-time positions with different focuses:

Position 1 – Day/Evening

The work is scheduled for day and evening shifts according to schedule, all days of the week.

• Day shift: 08:00–16:00
• Evening shift: 16:00–22:30

You work alternating days and evenings according to an agreed schedule.

Position 2 – Awake night

The work is scheduled for awake night shifts according to schedule, all days of the week.

• Awake night: 22:00–08:30

As a night assistant, you are responsible for safety, supervision, and care during the night.

Schedule and scope

The positions are full-time and scheduled by agreement. We strive for continuity and long-term planning in scheduling.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing
• Driver's license B and access to a car (mileage compensation is paid under certain conditions)
• Ability to work independently and responsibly
• Opportunity to work according to the schedule of the position (day/evening or night)

Meritorious:

• Experience working as a personal assistant
• Experience with ALS or other neurological diseases
• Health and social care education (e.g., nursing assistant)

• Perceptive and respectful
• Professional in your approach
• Engaged and socially present
• Initiative-taking and adaptable to the client's daily condition
• Comfortable working closely with a person with extensive care needs
• Not allergic to fur, as there are pets in the home
