About Me

“I am a positive and social woman in my 30s living in my own apartment in Svedala. After a car accident, I need assistance around the clock. I use a wheelchair and speak slowly but am fully verbal.

I love music, humor, game nights, and being active when my energy allows. I work out at the gym, enjoy long walks, and dream of starting to ride again and maybe getting a cat. Sometimes I play music loudly and dance when my spirit stirs!

Job Responsibilities

• Support in daily tasks at home
• Transfers and personal care
• Exercise, walks, and leisure activities
• Support with communication and structure
• Occasional household tasks

Who Are You?

We are looking for someone who:

• is a woman
• thrives in a calm and secure assisting role
• is flexible and enjoys varied tasks
• has a sense of humor and patience
• can work day, evening, weekends, and awake nights
• wants a long-term assignment with good personal chemistry

Requirements

• Driver's license (B)
• Non-smoker
• Comfortable with dogs and cats in the home
• Available for irregular hours

Position Details

• We are looking for holiday substitutes and on-call staff for sick leave
• There is also a position of approx. 65% that can become a fixed-term employment (FVT)

Working Hours

• Weekdays: 07–15, 15–23, and awake night 23–07
• Weekend shifts: 08–20 or 20–08 (12-hour shifts)

About SMIL

SMIL is a user-controlled association that provides personal assistance for people living in the Malmö area. We are a cooperative with no financial profit motive.

SMIL naturally has a collective agreement, which among other things means that our personal assistants have access to occupational pensions. We also offer a wellness grant and regularly arrange various training courses that are of great use to you as a personal assistant in your work.

We are an IfA-approved assistance provider with roots in the movement that once pioneered personal assistance in Sweden. At SMIL, there are both members and employees who have been with the cooperative since its early days. SMIL also has permission from IVO to provide personal assistance.
