About the workplace

Our facility is located in a scenic area of northwestern Skåne. We welcome girls aged 15-21 who are placed according to the Social Services Act (SoL) and the Care of Young Persons (Special Provisions) Act (LVU). At Åsbo, we offer individual care for girls who need a smaller context and more extensive support. In cooperation with social services, we can tailor the setup around the specific youth. Our treatment work is based on evidence-based methods where Motivational Interviewing (MI) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) are central components.

Your role

In the role of treatment assistant, you will work individually with the youth to provide support and care in daily life. The goal is to establish a safe relationship where the youth wants and dares to accept the support offered. You will be part of a team that together plans the work around the youth, and our vision is that despite working alone, you should not feel lonely.

Tasks include practical chores such as support with activities of daily living (ADL), cooking, cleaning, medication management, community contacts, and transportation. An important aspect is motivating the youth to develop their unique strengths and build skills. You also play a role in promoting an active and meaningful leisure time, which requires energy and the ability to inspire. The work includes documentation.

Qualifications

To be qualified for the position, you need at least two years of post-secondary education in areas such as social work, social pedagogy, or behavioral science. Experience with the target group is meritorious, as is knowledge of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and neuropsychiatric disabilities (NPF).

We expect you to be warm and empathetic, a team player with a positive view of people's ability to change. Furthermore, you should be patient, confident, and able to handle conflicts constructively while remaining calm in stressful situations.

Computer literacy and experience with documentation are important, which means you should have good verbal and written communication skills.

Irregular working hours, mostly overnight shifts spread across weekdays and weekends.

Due to the target group and its needs, we only accept female applicants for the position.

We require an extract from the police suspicion and criminal records before employment.

A valid driver's license (B) is required.
