Description

About the workplace

As part of the substitute pool at Åsbo HVB, you will be available for work at least five days a week and can be called in to cover overnight shifts in the operations as needed. The position suits those who appreciate flexibility and want to make a vital contribution in an environment where security, continuity, and relationships are key.

The position is offered at either 60% or 80%, with the core assignment involving working approximately six overnight shifts per month at 60% or about eight overnight shifts per month at 80%. Availability times are planned based on operational needs and in dialogue with you.

We believe this role may suit those with a flexible lifestyle—perhaps you have grown children, work part-time, are between assignments, or have retired but still want to stay active and contribute with your experience and presence for a few overnights a month. The most important thing for us is that you are confident, responsible, and want to help create stability for our youths and the operations.

About the workplace

Our facility is located in scenic northwestern Scania. We welcome girls aged 15-21 placed under the Social Services Act (SoL) and the Care of Young Persons (Special Provisions) Act (LVU). At Åsbo, we offer individualized care for girls who need a smaller setting and more extensive support. In collaboration with social services, we can tailor arrangements around each specific youth. Our treatment work is based on evidence-based methods where Motivational Interviewing (MI) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) play a central role.

Your role

As a treatment assistant, you will work individually with the youth to provide support and care in daily life. The goal is to establish a safe relationship where the youth is willing and able to accept the support offered. You will be part of a team that jointly plans the work around the youth, and our vision is that despite solo work, you should not feel alone.

Job duties include practical chores such as support with ADL, cooking, cleaning, medication management, community contacts, and transportation. An important aspect is motivating the youth to develop their unique strengths/abilities and build competence. You also play a role in promoting an active and meaningful leisure time, which requires energy and the ability to inspire. The work involves documentation.

Qualifications

To be qualified for the position with us, at least two years of post-secondary education in areas such as social work, social pedagogy, or behavioral science is required. Experience with the target group is meritorious, as is knowledge of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and understanding of neuropsychiatric disabilities (NPF).

We expect that you are warm and empathetic, a team player with a positive view of people's ability to change. Furthermore, you should be patient, confident in yourself, able to handle conflicts constructively, and remain calm in stressful situations.

Computer skills and experience in documentation are important, meaning you should have good verbal and written communication skills.

Other

Start date by agreement.

Salary: We apply individual salary setting.

Irregular working hours, mainly overnight shifts spread over both weekdays and weekends.

Based on the target group and its needs, we only welcome female applicants for the position.

We require a record from the police suspicion and criminal record register before employment.

A valid driver's license (B category) is a requirement.

Interviews will be held continuously, so do not wait to submit your application.
