Treatment Pedagogue, 24-hour Shifts, Substitute Pool 60%-80%
Description
About the workplace
As part of the substitute pool at Åsbo HVB, you are available for work at least five days a week and can be called in as needed to cover 24-hour shifts in the operation. The position suits someone who appreciates flexibility and wants to make an important contribution to a workplace where safety, continuity, and relationships are key.
The position is offered at either 60% or 80%, where the basic assignment involves working approximately six 24-hour shifts per month at 60% or eight shifts per month at 80%. Availability times are planned based on the needs of the operation and in dialogue with you.
We believe the role may suit someone with a flexible lifestyle – perhaps your children have left home, you work part-time, are between assignments, or have retired but still want to be active and contribute with your experience and presence a few days each month. The most important thing for us is that you are secure, responsible, and want to help create stability for our youth and the operation.
About the workplace
Our facility is set in a scenic location in northwestern Skåne. We welcome girls aged 15-21 who are placed under the Social Services Act (SoL) and the Care of Young Persons Act (LVU). At Åsbo, we offer individual care for girls who need a smaller setting and more comprehensive support. In collaboration with social services, we can tailor the approach around the specific youth. Our treatment work is based on evidence-based methods, with Motivational Interviewing (MI) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) as central components.
Your role
In the role of treatment assistant, you will work individually with the youth to provide support and care in daily life. The goal is to establish a safe relationship in which the youth is willing and able to receive the support offered. You will be part of a team that jointly plans the work around the youth, and our vision is that even when working alone, you should not feel alone.
Tasks include practical chores such as support with ADL, cooking, cleaning, medication management, community contacts, and transportation. An important aspect is to motivate the youth to develop their unique strengths and build competence. You also play a role in promoting an active and meaningful leisure time, which requires energy and an ability to inspire. Documentation is included in the work.
Qualifications
To be qualified for the position, you need at least two years of post-secondary education in fields such as social work, social pedagogy, or behavioral science. Experience with the target group is an asset, as is knowledge of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and understanding of neurodevelopmental disorders.
We expect you to be warm and empathetic, a team player with a positive view of people's ability to change. Furthermore, you should be patient, self-assured, and able to handle conflicts constructively while remaining calm in stressful situations.
Computer proficiency and experience with documentation are important, meaning you should have good verbal and written communication skills.
