Personal assistant for a 17-year-old girl

We are looking for a female personal assistant for a 17-year-old girl who lives with her parents outside Jämjö.

As a personal assistant, you will be a safe and present support in her daily life. You will help her with personal care, dressing, meals, and transfers, as well as with going out for walks and participating in other activities outside the home.

She can walk on her own and moves indoors and short distances with a walker, but needs constant support from her assistant. For longer transfers or when otherwise needed, she uses a wheelchair.

Communication is partly conducted using TAKK (Signs as Alternative and Augmentative Communication), so it is important that you know TAKK so that you can use this as support in communication.

It is also a big advantage if you have experience and understanding of how to interact with and support a person with autism - with calmness, clarity, and structure that create security and predictability.

As an assistant, you will have a meaningful role in her everyday life, where you contribute to safety, stability, and joy in both small and big moments.

We are looking for someone who is calm, confident, and has a warm and respectful approach.

You need to have good collaboration skills, patience, and the ability to take responsibility.

Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.

There are cats in the home, which means you need to be comfortable with animals and not allergic.

You must be a non-smoker.

The workplace is located outside the city center, so a driver's license and access to a car are required.

Working hours are varied - afternoon, evening, and weekends according to schedule, with on-call duty at night.
