The Preschool/Sverigefinska Skolan i Stockholm AB is a bilingual independent preschool with centrally located premises at Fridhemsplan. The preschool has four departments, a total of 69 children and 12 employees. In addition, we have a F-9 school and after-school care in the same unit and building. Job Description
Working as a preschool teacher involves unique – and significant – opportunities to influence and contribute to children's development. As a preschool teacher, you help create a positive and developmental environment, with a good balance of care and learning, for each child and the entire group. You do this by being responsible for the pedagogical work according to the curriculum goals. Our well-organized daily structure, which is based on children's participation and influence, forms the foundation of our pedagogical work. As a preschool teacher, you will work in a context where we offer various meeting places and engage children in playful and learning challenges.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone with preschool teacher education and a preschool teacher license.
Very good knowledge of Finnish and Swedish in both speech and writing is required, as well as several years of experience in the profession. You have knowledge and an idea of how, together with your colleagues, you will realize the curriculum's goals and values. Your focus on children is clear and reflected in your everyday approach. You also have knowledge of how to make children's learning processes visible and further develop them using pedagogical documentation. You have a strong drive to keep the development of the pedagogical environment alive. In your professional role, you are engaged, professional, and initiative-taking. You are also responsible and structured, with a good ability to plan and prioritize your work effectively. Your cooperation skills are very good, and you are accommodating in your interactions with children, guardians, and colleagues. You handle conflicts in a responsive and constructive way. Furthermore, you have good ability to communicate in both speech and writing. You enjoy leading and motivating others and sharing your experiences and knowledge.
We will place great emphasis on personal qualities. Interviews are conducted on an ongoing basis.
The position is a substitute for 11 months starting 250810.
