Special Education Teacher in Mathematics | Södertörn Upper Secondary School (Full-time)

Södertörn Upper Secondary School is seeking a dedicated and qualified special education teacher with a focus on mathematics development for a full-time position, starting August 10, 2026.

In this role as a special education teacher, you combine direct student work with a strategic mission in the school's pedagogical development. You work to identify, assess, and analyze students' needs, as well as design and implement accommodations and special support.

A central part of the position is to drive and develop mathematics instruction at the school. This involves mentoring and supporting teachers in creating accessible, differentiated, and inclusive teaching that meets the needs of all students.

You are part of the school's student health team (EHT) and collaborate closely with teachers, mentors, and school management.

If you are also qualified in other subjects at the upper secondary level, it is a merit.

The position corresponds to 100%. Start date 2026-08-10.

Your duties

• Identify, assess, and analyze students' needs for support
• Plan, implement, and follow up on extra accommodations and special support
• Conduct pedagogical assessments and establish action plans
• Work closely with students on support measures, both individually and in groups
• Drive and develop the school's mathematics instruction
• Mentor and coach teachers in creating accessible and differentiated teaching
• Contribute to the school's overall pedagogical development work
• Collaborate with the student health team (EHT), teachers, and mentors
• Participate in follow-up and analysis of students' knowledge development
